Alto was appointed by Galliford Try on the construction of a large new academy school in Bolton.

The works involved:

• 75000m3 of Bulk Earthworks to create level platform for the academy and the sports/MUGA pitches.
• Foundations to main and ancillary buildings
• Removal of excessively soft material and backfilling with imported clean aggregate, approximately 22,000m3
• Installation of 2 large attenuation tanks
• Installation of all Surface Water and Foul Water
• Installation of Gas Membrane
• Construction of all ground floor slabs
• Construction of all external works including landscaping
• Construction of a large Surface Water culvert (largest Precast units in UK at that time, Video included) and subsequent road construction.
• Section 278 works to form new entrance over culvert.
• Drainage Works related to underside of MUGA and new pitches.
